SAMPLE - 2

During my childhood, I had an intense inclination towards historyEspecially in my own country.
There are several stages of history that I am interested in but here I would like to speak about post-independence time span between 1947  to 1955. Actually, at that time of independence, India had been divided into 565  independent states and most of which wanted to declare their states as separate nations. But the majority of people wanted to have only one nation India. And to stop the kings of independent states to make their own separate nations.
It was really a grave concern for the then Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the cabinet minister Vallabhbhai Patel. As both of them better knew the affecting plight of our nation at that time than any of the other eminent ministers. Therefore both of them had made enormous efforts to persuade the kings of those independent states to have their regions merged with  India. During this time they had to face numerous challenges and there were some incidents when they had to trigger a far against those who were reluctant to be the part of India. But by hook or by crook both the ministers managed to join most of the states with India and the rest had formed two separate nations Pakistan and  Bangladesh.
First I came to know about this history during the time when I was studying in 10th class. But later on, I  saw a lot of videos on this topic and was able to explore more phases of history during this time. The main reason behind the fact of I am fascinated by this period of time is that this was the biggest challenge before India of which if had not been tackled could have deteriorated the map of India that we see today. So that's why it was a period in history which has always interested to me.
